This setup demands a mirror wide enough to leave room for sconces on both sides. The one place where incandescent still has an edge: if you have a vintage-style vanity fixture with clear glass shades where the bulb itself is part of the decor. A decorative filament LED bulb (the kind with visible LED "filaments" in a clear glass envelope) gets close, but the warm-up behaviour and dimming curve still don't perfectly replicate the look of a glowing tungsten filament. In purely aesthetic terms, a clear-glass vanity sconce with exposed bulbs benefits from actual filament bulbs.
